Changement sur le banc d’Yverdon Sport. Marco Schällibaum n’est plus l’entraîneur de la première équipe, qu’il a dirigé avec succès depuis le mois de juin 2022.
C’est une page qui se tourne dans l’histoire d’Yverdon Sport. Marco Schällibaum a dirigé, samedi dernier face à Winterthur, son dernier match sur le banc du Stade municipal. L’information lui a été communiquée lundi matin et n’est ni la conséquence de résultats sportifs – excellents tant l’année dernière en Challenge League que depuis cet été en Super League – ni liée aux valeurs humaines que porte le coach de 61 ans.
Ce dernier aura en effet marqué de son emprunte son passage à Yverdon Sport. Il aura dirigé 52 matchs officiels avec les Verts, pour une moyenne de 1.69 points/match. Ses qualités de meneur d’homme lui auront permis d’apporter une véritable identité à son vestiaire, en créant autour de lui un groupe uni et valeureux.
Ce changement s’inscrit dans un processus de développement du club sur le long terme et plus spécifiquement dans une nouvelle philosophie que les nouveaux propriétaires souhaitent apporter à Yverdon Sport et à sa première équipe.
Le club tient à remercier Marco Schällibaum pour son professionnalisme, son dévouement et sa passion. Il laissera au Stade municipal un héritage certain et portera aussi le nom du retour en Super League d’Yverdon Sport, au printemps 2023.

Change of the coach at Yverdon Sport. Marco Schällibaum is no longer the coach of the first team, which he has successfully managed since June 2022.
A new page has been turned in the history of Yverdon Sport. Marco Schällibaum has directed his final match on the Municipal Stadium bench against Winterthur last Saturday. The news came to him on Monday morning, and is not the result of his sporting achievements – which were excellent both last year in the Challenge League and since this summer in Super League – nor is it linked to the human values that the 61-year-old coach stands for.
Indeed, the latter has left his mark during his time at Yverdon Sport. He managed 52 official matches with the “Verts”, averaging 1.69 points per game. His qualities as a leader enabled him to bring a real identity to his dressing room, creating around him a solid and valiant group.
This change is part of a long-term development process for the club and, more specifically, a new philosophy that the new owners wish to bring to Yverdon Sport.
The club would like to thank Marco Schällibaum for his professionalism, dedication and passion. He will leave a lasting legacy at the Stade Municipal and will also bear the name of Yverdon Sport’s return to the Super League in the spring of 2023.
